The 5.6 Weeks Rule
Almost all workers in the UK are legally entitled to 5.6 weeks of paid holiday a year. This is known as statutory leave entitlement or annual leave.
Part-Time Workers
If you work part-time, you get the same level of holiday pro-rata. For example, if you work 3 days a week, you get 3 × 5.6 = 16.8 days of annual leave.
Bank Holidays
Employers can include bank holidays as part of your statutory annual leave. There are usually 8 bank holidays in England and Wales.
