National Living Wage vs Minimum Wage
In the UK, the minimum amount you must be paid depends on your age. If you are 21 or over, you are entitled to the National Living Wage (NLW). If you are under 21, you get the National Minimum Wage (NMW).
What if I am underpaid?
It is a criminal offence for employers to not pay someone the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage. If this calculator shows you are underpaid, you should speak to your employer first, or contact ACAS for confidential advice.
